The Opportunity:
The Department is looking to establish a pool of talented, motivated individuals to fill Principal Policy Officer positions throughout the EPA Services Directorate, Nature Directorate and the wider Department!
EPA Strategy and Guidance (PN101699):
In this role, you will be responsible for leading strategic policy initiatives relating to both the development and implementation of policies, strategies and programs to support the functions of the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) in alignment with the Environmental Protection Act 1986. This role will provide scientific advice and high-level analysis of environmental trends in order to support the EPA to deliver both its functions and its strategic plan. This role requires strong knowledge and understanding of environmental science and policy and/or environmental impact assessment, as well as skills in project management.
Regional Planning – Nature Directorate (PN101215):
This exciting role places you at the forefront of delivering actions under the State Government’s Native Vegetation Policy for WA. You will lead the development and communication of research and policy advice to drive informed government decision-making, enhance native vegetation outcomes, and support timely environmental approvals. With a focus on strategic thinking, you will liaise with partner government agencies and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with Western Australia's environmental protection and biodiversity conservation legislation and policy frameworks, contributing to the ongoing protection of WA’s unique environment.
