The Opportunity: 

We are establishing a pool of experienced and talented Executive Officers to fill both immediate and future positions. Right now, we have one permanent Level 4 position and one permanent Level 5 position available within our Approvals portfolio. 

This is an opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, gain exposure to strategic decision-making, and build a career in environmental policy and governance. 

About the Roles 

Executive Officer – Assurance (Level 4) 

As an Executive Officer at Level 4, you will provide high-level administrative and executive support to an Executive Director. You will manage diaries, emails, and correspondence, prioritise and refer matters appropriately, and organise high-level meetings and activities. You will liaise across the Directorate, prepare ministerial and departmental briefs, and contribute to policy development and strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and ready to build expertise in environmental regulation. 

Executive Officer – Deputy Director General Approvals (Level 5) 

At Level 5, you will work at the heart of strategic decision-making, providing exceptional support to the Deputy Director General Approvals. You will manage correspondence and ministerial reporting, coordinate meetings and events, and maintain strong relationships across the department and with key stakeholders, including the Minister’s Office. You will supervise one Administrative Officer and contribute to special projects, research, and analysis that inform high-level decisions. This role suits someone with strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the confidence to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
